(HBO) – Cao Phong district’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has collaborated with the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, provincial Public Security Department’s Women’s Union, Red Cross Society and VNPT Hoa Binh to organise the launching of the Winter Volunteer Campaign 2020 and the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2021 in Thach Yen commune.

 Participants start the construction of a concrete yard in Moi hamlet of Thach Yen commune.

Following the launch ceremony, many activities were held. The organisers presented 38 gift packages to policy beneficiaries and poor households, while conducting communications on the prevention of sexual abuse against children to secondary students at Yen Thuong school. The Hoa Binh chapter of the Red Cross Society offered free health check-ups and medicine to locals, while the voluntary youngsters joined hands in building a 22- sq.m concrete yard in Moi hamlet of Thach Yen commune.

On the occasion, Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, presented two computers to the People’s Committee of Thach Yen commune.

The campaign drew a large number of youngsters from sub-unions, thus promoting the vanguard spirit of the youth in building new-style rural areas./.

As many as 79,988 locals joined compulsory social security scheme as of February, accounting for 93.76% of the annual plan and up 1.5% from the same time last year. There were 71,830 people covered with unemployment insurance, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%. Meanwhile, 796,322 held health insurance cards, or 90% of the population.

Toan Son commune works to improve ethnic people’s lives

Toan Son commune in Da Bac district, with 70% of its population being ethnic minority people, has mobilised resources and created favourable conditions for local residents to access concessional loans to develop production. Thanks to the efforts, local livelihoods have seen positive changes.
