The interdisciplinary inspection team of the Provincial Steering Committee for Food Safety are inspecting the reality at the factory of Thien Long Industrial Trade Investment Co., Ltd., Coc Bai hamlet, Cao Son commune (Luong Son).

The interdisciplinary inspection team of the Provincial Steering Committee for Food Safety has just held an actual inspection of food safety assurance in Luong Son district. According to the preliminary assessment, they have fully complied with the regulations on food safety. In particular, the team has highly appreciated the district's organization of the diverse and practical activities during the Action Month for Food Safety in the area.

Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan, the Vice Chairman of Luong Son District People's Committee says: Food safety plays an important role in the daily life. The theme of this year's action month for food safety is "Ensuring security and food safety in a new situation”. In addition to the regular activities on food safety assurance, the Action Month is the highlight of the year, creating a peak period, launching a communication campaign to comply with the legal regulations on food safety in the food production and business activities. The district has directed all levels, branches and localities to strengthen the direction, implementing drastically and synchronously effectively the management of food safety in the area, promoting propaganda, strengthening the roles and responsibilities of the organizations, individuals and businesses in enforcing the law on the food safety. It is necessary to step up inspection and examination at food production, business and advertising establishments and strengthen supervision to reduce food poisoning caused by unsafe food...

In the Action Month for food safety, implementing the directive documents of the superiors, the Steering Committee for Food Safety of Luong Son district has issued the documents to implement the "Action Month for Food Safety” in 2023 in the locality, including the followings: organizing the launching ceremony’ establishing an interdisciplinary inspection team and organizing inspection of food safety production and business units, enterprises and business establishments in the area. Additionally, they have promoted the communication activities in the area of communes, towns, units, enterprises, food production and business establishments...

Thereby, the district has achieved the practical results in food safety. Regarding the communication activities, the District’s Steering Committee has printed 37 banners, of which 26 long banners were distributed to the communes, the town, the companies and the schools to hang in public places and markets; 11 rectangular tapes with frames were delivered to the Center of Culture, Sports and Information and businesses so that they could hang on the vehicles for the mobile communication and at the gates of the public kitchens. The district’s Center of Culture, Sports and Information has been broadcasting on the radio waves twice a day; they have been hanging all the issued banners at the markets and public places... 11 out of the 11 communes and towns and the Steering Committees at the grassroot levels have organized conferences for the Action Month for Food Safety. 100% of the communes and the town have distributed messages to the villages, the hamlets and the sub-zones with propaganda files with a duration of 2 times a day.

Carrying out the inspection and management of the establishments in the area, there are has 1,493 food establishments in the district now. In which, the food establishments under the scope of the Health sector’s management are 373, including 29 establishments at the provincial level (which are school and enterprise public kitchens); the district level manages 115 establishments (the eligible subjects are 12 public kitchens of schools and enterprises); At the commune and township levels, there are 258 small businesses and street food establishments. The food establishments under the scope of the Industry and Trade sector are 1,042, of which, the provincial level manages 7 establishments; the district and commune levels manage 1,035 establishments. The food establishments within the scope of the Agricultural sector are 85, of which, the provincial level manages 16 establishments; the district and commune levels manage 69 establishments. Complying with regulations on food safety, the district has 98 out of the 115 establishments, reaching 85.2% of food establishments within the scope of the health sector's management and eligibility. The food establishments under the management of the Industry and Trade sector are 535 out of the 1,035 committing themselves to ensuring food safety. The food establishments under the management of the Agricultural sector have been granted 36/85 establishments, reaching 42.3%.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of food safety assurance, especially the diverse and practical activities in the Action Month for Food Safety in 2023, there have been no cases of food poisoning in Luong Son district, contributing to the protection of the public health since the beginning of the year.
