As the Party Organisation and people of Hoa Binh province welcome the arrival of spring, they take pride in the remarkable achievements obtained under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), which turns 95 this spring. With a shared determination to build a prosperous future, they embrace ambitious aspirations for national development, joining hands with the whole country to prepare to enter a new era-one of national progress and advancement.

Streets of Hoa Binh city are brilliantly decorated to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday and celebrate the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Each citizen can feel the profound transformation of their hometown. This spring, Nguyen Van Cuu, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, was honored with a 65-year Party membership badge. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging that the CPV has brought prosperity and happiness to him and the people. Since its establishment, the Party has led Vietnam in breaking the yoke of slavery to bring about freedom to the whole people and guiding the country to make remarkable victories in the resistance wars against France and the US, ultimately achieving national reunification. Over the past 95 years, the Party has continuously evolved and strengthened, proving its leadership capacity through the Doi moi (Renewal) process, which has elevated Vietnam’s global standing and ensured that the people benefit from the fruits of Doi moi.

The Hoa Binh provincial Party Organisation has creatively applied the guidelines and policies of the Party Central Committee while continuously enhancing its leadership capacity to direct the successful implementation of key political tasks. From a province that once faced economic difficulties and weak infrastructure, Hoa Binh has undergone significant growth, with an increasingly efficient political system and administration apparatus.

Despite numerous challenges in 2024, the province’s Party Organisation and people demonstrated solidarity, creativity, and determination, achieving relatively comprehensive progress across all sectors. Notably, all the 19 key economic and social targets were met or exceeded. Hoa Binh recorded a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of 9%, while per capita GRDP reached an estimated 81 million VND (3,215 USD).

The State budget revenue surpassed 7.5 trillion VND, reaching 187% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister. Total social investment amounted to nearly 25 trillion VND.

In 2024, 496 new enterprises were established, with a total registered capital of 8.1 trillion VND. The rate of communes meeting the criteria for new-style rural areas reached 66.7%.

The preservation of ethnic groups' cultural values and historical relic sites were given more attention, with two archaeological sites-Trai hamlet cave and Vanh village stone shelter in Lac Son District—recognised as national special relics last year.

Additionally, the province made substantial strides in culture, education, healthcare, science, technology, employment, and social welfare. More than 19,000 jobs were created, while the household poverty rate was reduced to 6.59%. Nearly 1,500 households benefited from the housing support program. Living standards among ethnic minorities and mountainous communities improved significantly, helping strengthen national unity, security, and social stability.

Hoa Binh has successfully implemented several breakthrough initiatives, yielding encouraging results. The Hoa Binh Master Plan for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, is being implemented, paving the way for sustainable growth.

Construction has begun on key infrastructure projects, including the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway and Nhuan Trach Industrial Park. Kim Boi, Lac Thuy, and Lac Son districts are emerging as major eco-tourism and urban centres. Meanwhile, Da Bac, a mountainous district, is applying itself to improving livelihoods and maximising the tourism potential around Hoa Binh Lake. Luong Son district is on track to become a township this year, positioning itself as a hub for tourism, urban development, and economic growth in the province.

Hoa Binh City is celebrating major achievements, including its master plan, its satisfaction of new-style rural area standards, and its recent elevation to Tier-2 city status as in line with local Party Congresses' resolutions.

These milestones reflect the strong leadership, decisive governance, and collective determination of Party committees and administrations at all levels, contributing to economic growth and creating new opportunities for Hoa Binh province to thrive in the years to come.
