(HBO) – A delegation of the Party Committee of the Vietnam People’s Navy led by Vice Admiral Sen. Lieut. Gen. Tran Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Vietnam People’s Navy, paid a working visit to leaders of Hoa Binh province on July 25.

Present at the session were Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; and Tran Dang Ninh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, informed the delegation of the province’s socio-economic development and activities for Vietnam’s seas and islands in recent years. He affirmed that the signing of a joint programme to disseminate information about Vietnam’s seas and islands between the Hoa Binh Party Committee and the Party Committee of the Vietnam People’s Navy expected to be signed on July 26 would open a series of joint activities in the time to come.

On the behalf of the Party Committee of the Vietnam People’s Navy, Vice Admiral Sen. Lieut. Gen. Tran Hoai Trung sincerely thanked the provincial leaders for their support to the joint programmes on communications on seas and islands between the two sides.

He said 15 press agencies and 55 provinces and cities have signed with the Party Committee of the Vietnam People’s Navy to coordinate in disseminating information about Vietnam’s seas and islands. This is an important activity in providing accurate information for people, contributing to raising public awareness of the seas and islands.

At the meeting, Vice Admiral Sen. Lieut. Gen. Tran Hoai Trung highlighted the construction, combat and development of the Vietnam People's Navy over the past 63 years, while affirming the Navy’s efforts in training and resolve to firmly safeguard the country’s sea and island sovereignty./.
