(HBO) – A delegation from the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee led by its Secretary Bui Van Tinh, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee, visited the Hoa Binh Newspaper and the Hoa Binh Radio-TV Station on January 29 ahead of the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).

Performing the function as the mouthpiece of the province’s Party organisation, officials and reporters of the Hoa Binh Newspaper have always been active and creative in performing their tasks of popularising information in all aspects, from politics, economy, society and culture to defence-security.

Publication activities have also been ensured with six issues published a week and 309 issues published a year. The number of copies per issue has risen by 10 percent from 2017 to 7,184. The newspaper published 3,500 articles, 6,700 news items and 5,200 photos last year.

The newspaper has continued to improve the quality of its online versions in Vietnamese, English and Muong languages, as well as the online TV and mobile versions. Three TV reports in Vietnamese, English and Muong were posted on the website each month.

In 2018, the newspaper’s website attracted nearly 20 million views, up 150 percent year on year, from readers inside the province, across Vietnam and 176 other countries and territories.

Meanwhile, the Hoa Binh Radio-TV Station has also worked actively to reform programme content and forms, increase self-produced programmes and step up copyright exchange and purchase to diversify programmes. It has also broadcast live many local and national events, including the sixth Hoa Binh Provincial Games.

The station produced and broadcast 6,752 hours of TV programmes while re-broadcasting over 2,600 hours of programmes of the Vietnam Television (VTV) last year. It also produced and broadcast 1,460 hours of radio programmes.

At the meetings, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh extended Tet greetings to the staff of the two media agencies and highly valued their achievements in communications activities last year./.
