(HBO) - Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan has led a delegation of the provincial Party Committee to inspect the implementation of tasks in the first nine months of 2019 and those for the year’s last quarter, as well as the realisation of the resolutions of the 16th provincial Party Congress and the Party Congress of Lac Thuy district for the 2015-2020 tenure.

During the first nine months of 2019, Lac Thuy district seriously implemented directives and resolutions of the Party Central Committee and the provincial Party Committee. Its Party organisation admitted 55 new members.

The local economy developed in the right direction with the total production value growing 13.5 percent year on year. Lac Thuy collected 47.77 billion VND (2 million USD) for the State budget, equivalent to 74.42 percent of this year’s target set by the provincial People’s Council. Meanwhile, it welcomed 650,000 tourist arrivals, up 12 percent year on year.

Besides, local social security has been ensured, progress has been recorded in cultural and social aspects, while defence-security have also been safeguarded firmly.

Over the past nearly 4 years, the Party organisation, administration and people of Lac Thuy have exerted efforts to realise the targets set in the resolutions of the 16th provincial Party Congress and the district Party Congress for 2015-2020. So far, the district has fulfilled and surpassed 12 of the 19 targets set in the district Party Congress’s resolution and seven of the 19 targets set by the provincial Party Congress.

Notably, the economic structure has been shifted in the right direction, the average per capita income has risen 23.1 percent from 2015, the household poverty rate has been brought down to 9.66 percent, investment attraction has reaped certain successes, and more developments have been seen in cultural and social aspects.

Lac Thuy district plans to complete the new-style rural area building in 2021.

At the working session with local authorities, Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan applauded the district’s achievements in the first nine months of 2019 and over the almost four years of implementing the resolution of the 16th provincial Party Congress.

Regarding the key tasks for the coming time, he stressed that Lac Thuy needs to keep up with efforts to establish itself as an economic engine of the whole Hoa Binh province and complete new-style rural area building objectives. He also asked it to closely follow the provincial Party Committee’s plans, strive to fulfill all the targets set in the resolution of the 16th provincial Party Congress, assign concrete tasks to each agency, and step up examination and supervision.

Additionally, the district has to press on with the Party building, the making and management of planning, land management, environmental protection, sustainable economic development, and improvement of the collection for the State budget, Tuan added.

Earlier, the official and his delegation visited the stone carving village of Phu Thanh commune, along with some businesses and chicken farms in Lac Thuy district./.
