(HBO) - Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, held a working session with the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) chapter.

In 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, VFF chapters at all levels in the
province focused on effectively implementing actions and coordination
programmes. In the first quarter, the chapters continued to coordinate with VFF
member organisations in calling on people to implement the Party's guidelines,
the State's policies and laws, and participating in patriotic emulation
movements.
People from all walks of life were encouraged to join the activities. The role
of prestigious people, village elders, and religious dignitaries was promoted.
The VFF provincial chapter organised 11 meetings with voters that attracted
1,287 participants.
The front step by step renovated and improved the effectiveness of social
supervision and criticism. It proposed to the standing board of the provincial
Party Committee to implement nine supervisory topics. It also organised
conferences to collect feedback on the draft Land Law (amended) with 20,144
comments.
The provincial VFF chapter joined in ensuring social security, received
donations and coordinated to give 92,000 new year gifts, worth nearly 45.5
billion VND (1.93 million USD); its Fund for the Poor allocated 6.75 billion
VND to build houses for poor households. The chapter also advised Military
Region 3 to donate 30 billion VND to build 1,000 new houses for the poor.
TheParty Civil Affairs Board of the provincial VFF chapter also pointed
out shortcomings and set out ten key tasks from now until the end of the year.
At the same time, five proposals were made so as to increase the role of the
provincial VFF organisation in supervising and criticizing social issues.

Long recognised the results and contributions of VFF chapters at all levels in
the province over the past time. He emphasised that the VFF chapters in the
province needs to continue to gather people from all walks of life, and
strengthens the great national unity.
The VFF was asked to keep calling on people to join socio-economic development
activities, guide and support the people in efforts to eliminate hunger, reduce
poverty, and increase incomes.
Long asked the front to work harder in protecting the legitimate rights and
interests of the people.
He said that the VFF must speak for the people, find ways to know about the
people's thoughts and legitimate aspirations, create consensus from the
grassroots level, better perform the role of social supervision and criticism,
and participate in building a strong Party and political system, as well as
fight against corruption, and waste.
He asked the front to renew the methods to approach people to better learn
about their expectations and desires./.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam). This meaningful activity took place in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the country's major holidays and the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
A delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, Commander of the provincial Military Command, completed a mission to visit and encourage officers and soldiers stationed on Truong Sa and a DK1 platform from May 20 to 26 as part of activities of the Vietnam People’s Navy. The delegation included 12 senior officials from various provincial agencies and units.
Storytelling and painting contests honouring President Ho Chi Minh have been held at the Hoa Binh provincial Youth Activity Centre.
The Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee held a gathering at the provincial Military Command headquarters on May 20 to commend the armed forces that took part in a military parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30.
Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
