The Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a specialised meeting of the province’s steering committee for key projects to look into the progress of those on building and trading in infrastructure of the Nhuan Trach Industrial Park in Luong Son district and the Yen Quang and Binh Phu ones in Hoa Binh city.

meeting.
The event was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long,
alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial
Party Committee. It also saw the presence of Bui Duc Hinh – Standing Vice
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial
People’s Council, Bui Van Khanh – Vice Secretary of the provincial Party
Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with other
officials.
At the meeting, investors gave proposals on some
issues, including accelerating site clearance, creating flexible conditions for
land handover and leasing, settling overlaps of project boundaries, completing
the planning scale 1:2,000 and updating the planning scale 1:500 for the parks’
sections, speeding up the construction of resettlement areas and technical
infrastructure facilities covered by the state budget.
In his remarks, Secretary Long emphasised that
one of the important parts of the Provincial Plan is to continue improving the
investment climate to attract domestic and foreign businesses to Hoa Binh.
Building the industrial park infrastructure plays a crucial role in creating
momentum for industrial development, investment attraction, job creation, and
revenue increase for the province. Therefore, accelerating the construction of
the three industrial parks is a focal task of the province in 2024.
Highly valuing efforts by localities,
departments, sectors, and investors to handle investment and construction
procedures for the three parks, he asked relevant agencies to actively
coordinate with one another to step up the approval of the planning scale
1:2,000 and the update of the planning scale 1:500 for the parks’ sections to
submit them to the Ministry of Construction.
The official expressed his hope that the Nhuan
Trach Industrial Park will be granted the construction license and have work started
in late the first quarter or early the second quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, it is
necessary to press on with the building of the Yen Quang and Binh Phu
industrial parks so that they can become operational soon.
The People’s Committees of Hoa Binh city and
Luong Son district need to coordinate with investors to speed up site clearance
for park construction and ensure resettlement-related conditions for local
residents, he requested.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam). A delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, Commander of the provincial Military Command, completed a mission to visit and encourage officers and soldiers stationed on Truong Sa and a DK1 platform from May 20 to 26 as part of activities of the Vietnam People’s Navy. The delegation included 12 senior officials from various provincial agencies and units.

To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
