Addressing the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long underlined that despite difficulties in 2023, the Hoa Binh Party Committee’s Standing Board and its members focused on directing the implementation of the locality’s political tasks and achieved positive results, completing 16 out of 20 targets set in the provincial Party Committee’s resolution.

The province’s economic situation was recovered, while growth was recorded in many sectors, many major projects were launched, and investment attraction was improved. Its social welfare was ensured, while the development of culture and education received great attention. The province’s political and security situation was kept stable. However, Hoa Binh’s disbursement of public investment capital remained low, while people in remote areas have still faced many difficulties, he noted.

The provincial leader underlined that the review and evaluation of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and its member must be implemented following the Party Central Committee's regulations and guidance with a democratic, open, transparent and clear and practical spirit in association with assessing the responsibilities of leadership officials in implementing major political tasks and the efficiency of their jobs and solutions to improve the performance of the board and its members.

He asked participants to give objective, democratic, and multi-dimensional evaluations on members of the board, thus contributing to improving the board’s leadership efficiency and successfully completing political tasks in 2024 as well as targets set in the resolution of the 27th provincial Party Congress in the 2020-2025 tenure.

The meeting was carried out in line with Regulation No. 124-QD/TW issued by the Politburo on October 4, 2023 and Direction No.25-HD/BTCTW released by the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission on November 10, 2023 regarding contents for annual review, assessment and quality ranking for collectives and individuals in the political system.
