Among the patriotic emulation movements, the new-style rural area building movement has mobilised many resources and received warm support of local people who enthusiastically donated land, money and working day for building works. From the movement, many outstanding collectives and individuals have emerged.

Head of Cay Ruong village Nguyen Duc Hung said during the site clearance and expansion of inter-village roads, the commune People's Committee mobilised households to voluntarily donate land for expanding traffic roads.
With the pioneering and exemplary spirit of a party member, Hung mobilised family members to donate 1,800 sq.m of land and cut down 600 acacia trees to hand over the site to the construction unit without receiving any compensation or support. Hung's family always complies with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
The donation of land by Mr. Hung's family has contributed to reducing budget expenditures and speeding up the construction of the village's traffic roads. The act has significantly contributed to building new-style rural areas in the locality. His family has been introduced by the district as an outstanding family at the provincial level in 2024.
Vu Duc Hoa, Deputy Head of the Department of Home Affairs of Lac Thuy district, said in 2024, the district People's Committee launched an emulation movement, focusing on implementing socio-economic targets and promoting innovation and efficiency of the emulation and reward work.
Accordingly, the district focuses on detecting and rewarding small collectives and individuals who do not hold leadership or management positions, and those that directly work, produce, and do business.
In 2024, Lac Thuy district issued a decision to recognise four outstanding collectives and 10 typical individuals at the district level. At the same time, five individuals were considered for recognising as outstanding examples at the provincial level.
The selection and replication of outstanding examples has a positive impact, creating a strong spread in agencies, units, and communities, thus promoting patriotic emulation movements, and arousing the spirit of creativity in labour, study and work, contributing to realising socio-economic development goals in the locality.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam).
