Promoting its role in gathering and promoting people’s solidarity, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Nam Thuong district of Kim Boi province has encouraged local officials and residents to implement patriotism campaigns and movements, enhancing their responsibility in
their job and contributing to effectively realising political tasks in the locality.

Bui Thi Huong, President of the Nam Thuong VFF Committee said that over the years, the committee has renovated its operation contents and methods, focusing on strengthening the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example and lifestyle in association with the implementation of the campaign of "All people unite to build new-style rural areas, civilised urban areas”.
As a result, strong progress has been seen in awareness and actions of VFF officials at all levels and their capacity, meeting the requirements in the new situation, while patriotism emulation movements have been expanded to all localities.
Since 2023, the VFF Committee of the commune and its member organisations have developed many effective models in all fields.
Besides, the committee has coordinated with sectors to ensure social welfare in the locality. Since 2023, the Fund for the Poor of the commune has raised 53.4 million VND (2,170 USD) to care for the needy in special occasion, while repairing and building new houses for the needy, supporting victims of incidents and providing scholarships to poor students. Alongside, local residents and businesses have contributed working days, materials and cash to social welfare activities. To date, the rate of poor households in the commune has reduced to 3.49%.
Each year, 100% of residential areas have organised the National Great Solidarity Festival, gathering people from all walks of life. Last year, all six residential areas of the locality were organised as residential areas of culture, while 85.67% of local households received the title of cultural family.
Bui Van Sinh, head of the front affairs board of Nuoc Ruong village said that in order to realise action programmes of the communal VFF Committee, the board has strengthened communications, encouraging local officials and people to implement the Party and State’s policies and laws, while performing its role in supervision, social criticism and giving ideas in Party and government building, and developing a workplans with practical activities and solutions to mobilise resources to contribute to promoting local socio-economic development.
During the campaign of "All people unite to build new-style rural areas, civilised urban areas,” local residents have contributed 2,700 working days, materials and cash to build infrastructure works and roads, and clear local roads and canals.
To date, roads in the whole commune have basically been concreted, while the rate of households accessing clean water for daily activities has reached 100%, and the rate of people participating in health insurance is over 90%. There are no temporary or downgraded houses in the commune.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam). This meaningful activity took place in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the country's major holidays and the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
A delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, Commander of the provincial Military Command, completed a mission to visit and encourage officers and soldiers stationed on Truong Sa and a DK1 platform from May 20 to 26 as part of activities of the Vietnam People’s Navy. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
