(HBO) - The People's Committee of Lac Thuy district held a meeting to review the 5-year movement of "All people unite to build a cultural life” during the period of 2016 - 2020.

The leaders of the District’s People's Committee are awarding the certificates of merit to the individuals and the households with the outstanding achievements in the movement of "All people unite to build a cultural life” during the period of 2016 - 2020.

With the motto of "for the sake of the People, implemented by the people's power, discussed and self-managed by the people”, in the past 5 years, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life” in Lac Thuy district has been the greater and greater movement, attracting a large number of people from all classes to participate and responded positively. The movements: Building cultural agencies, units, businesses, villages, hamlets band families, creative study and work, training the bodies following the the great example of Uncle Ho..., especially the movement of building new rural areas, have created a wide spread in the community, contributing to strengthening the block of great solidarity for the entire people. Through the implementation of the movements, there are more and more good people, good deeds, and advanced examples. The number of the cultural households, the cultural villages, residential areas, agencies, units and enterprises achieving the cultural standards in the following year are higher than those in the previous year. By 2020, in the whole district there have been 88.9% of the households reaching the title of the cultural households, 95.5% of the cultural villages and residential areas, 94.5% of the agencies, the units and the enterprises have met the cultural standards.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the district has set out the following objectives: Focusing on leading and directing the construction of a cultural life into the reality with depth, which is associated with the task of building cultural families, villages, residential areas and enterprises; building new people with patriotism who live responsibly; building a cultural life in parallel with hunger eradication and poverty reduction, building new rural areas, civilized cities, preserving and promoting the national cultural identity. They are trying for for the target that by 2025 there will have 95% or more of the households reaching the title of the cultural families, 94% of the villages and the residential areas reaching the title of culture and the 98% of agencies and units meet the cultural standards in the whole district.

At the meeting, 19 collectives and 14 individuals with excellent achievements in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life” in the 2016-2020 period were praised and commended.

The demand for spaces serving community activities of residents in various areas across Hoa Binh city has been satisfied as local cultural houses now feature modern, spacious facilities thanks to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 49/NQ-HDND issued on December 28, 2021 by the city People's Council, which approved the plan for reorganising, converting, and allocating land for the construction, repair, and expansion of cultural houses in Hoa Binh’s villages and residential areas until 2025.

Enhancing cultural and spiritual life in remote and ethnic minority areas

At the end of May, the Hoa Binh Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe organized a series of performances for residents in Region 2 and Region 3 communes across the province. Bringing art to ethnic communities in remote, isolated, and especially disadvantaged areas has become a meaningful activity. These are not merely artistic performances but also journeys to disseminate cultural values, enrich spiritual life, and contribute to preserving the cultural identity of ethnic minorities.
