(HBO) - A series of cycling events for individuals and teams took place on July 9, the last competition day of the national junior terrain cycling tournament 2018.
They included female individuals’ Olympic
cross field and female teams’ 16 and 17-18 year old categories, and male
individuals’ Olympic cross field and male teams’ 16 and 17-18 year old
categories.

During the competition day, cyclists continued to demonstrate their skills,
health, and speed in the race as they continued to bring medals to the team. In
particular, Hoa Binh team brought back additional two gold, three silver and
one bronze medals, bringing the total medals to four gold, six silver and three
bronze medals.
Closing the National Junior Cycling
Championship 2018, Binh Duong team took the lead with 10 gold, 12 silver and 9
bronze medals. It was followed by Dong Thap team with 10 gold, 9 bronze and 8
bronze medals and Ho Chi Minh City team with 10 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze
medals.
The army won 7 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals, while An Giang team took 6
gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals, and Hoa Binh team secured 4 gold, 6 silver
and 3 bronze medals;
Vinh Long team had 3 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals; while Son La team
secured 2 gold and 1 bronze medals; Vinh Phuc team with 2 silver and 1 bronze
medal; Thanh Hoa team with 1 silver and 2 bronze medals; Can Tho team with 1
silver and 3 bronze medals; Lao Cai team with 1 silver and 1 bronze medals and
Hanoi team with 1 bronze medal./.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).

On February 23, the Hoa Binh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training’s karate division and the provincial Karate federation, organised the 2025 national karate dan promotion exam at the provincial sports arena. The exam covered the first (Shodan), second (Nidan), and third (Sandan) dan levels, with no fourth (Yondan) or fifth (Godan) dan tests this year.
