(HBO) – After four day of competition, the volleyball tournament of Mai Chau district, which was held on the occasion of the 73rd National Day and the victory of the August Revolution (September 2, 1945-2018), concluded in the district’s stadium on September 1.

The closing ceremony was attended by Pham Van Hoan, member of the district Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee, as well as leaders of a number of district agencies and departments and local residents.

 The tournament drew 12 teams with more than 140 players from communes and towns across the district.

The games were fascinating with the spirit of fair play, solidarity, enthusiasm, and exchange. The teams showed interesting and stimulating performances.

 Concluding the tournament, the organizers presented the first prize to Na Meo commune’s team, the second prize to Tong Dai commune’s team, the third prize to Tan Son commune’s team, and a prize of manner to Mai Chau town’s team.

 The annual tournament is held by Mai Chau district to promote the movement of physical training following the example of late President Ho Chi Minh. Through the event, the locality hoped to strengthen the solidarity among the local ethnic groups, while meeting the demand for entertainment of locals.
