(HBO) – The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province partnered with the local Elderly Association to organize a soft volleyball tournament for the elderly on August 29-31.

The tournament drew approximately 300 players from 11 men’s and 11 women’s teams across the province who competed in 36 matches.

The players have excited audiences with great performances, upholding spirit of sport and for the benefit of health. The matches have attracted a large crowd of spectators.




Winners of the women’s event are presented with medals and flags

Kim Boi district won the first place in both the women’s and men’s events.

In the women’s event, Yen Thuy district earned the silver medal while Ky Son and Luong Son finished the third. In the men’s category, Tan Lac district ranked second while Hoa Binh city and Mai Chau district shared the third prize.

In general, Kim Boi was awarded the first prize for the entire team, followed by Yen Thuy and Tan Lac.

The competition aimed to implement the Party and State’s policy to promote care for the elderly and uphold their roles in society. It was also intended to enhance the development of soft volleyball in the

Hoa Binh hosts 2025 national karate dan promotion exam

On February 23, the Hoa Binh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training’s karate division and the provincial Karate federation, organised the 2025 national karate dan promotion exam at the provincial sports arena. The exam covered the first (Shodan), second (Nidan), and third (Sandan) dan levels, with no fourth (Yondan) or fifth (Godan) dan tests this year.
