(HBO) - In recent years, the movement of physical training and sports in Doan Ket commune (Yen Thuy district) has developed strongly and widely in the hamlets. Besides mass sports, ethnic traditional sports are also regularly practiced by people such as crossbow shooting, tug of war, pushing sticks, stilts...

Doan Ket commune has 4,176 people with over 1,000 households. After the merger, the commune has 8 hamlets. The early morning and late afternoon every day, every strata of people gather at the sports fields to exchange and practice. Depending on the interests and passion, each person selects his or her own sports that suit them. Volleyball, football, badminton are popular sports that people love most.

Currently, the whole commune has 22 men's and women's volleyball teams and the volleyball teams of the elderly. Practicing physical training and sports attact a lot of people. The people wich practice regularly sports and physical training is over 41%, the number of sports households is 298 households.

Physical training and sports in Doan Ket commune has become a healthy, useful and practical playground, attracting alot of people, contributing to improving health and enriching spiritual life, increasing solidarity, away from social evils.
