(HBO) - The steering board of the open traditional cross-country - Hoa Binh newspaper cup held a meeting to discuss the date and place for the 28th edition of the championship.

which was also attended by leaders of the provincial Department of Culture,
Sports and Tourism, and representatives from the provincial Departments of
Education and Training, and Public Health, Police Office, and Ho Chi Minh
Communist Youth Union.

The 28th traditional cross-country
run - Hoa Binh newspaper cup will be open to several teams from northwestern
provinces.
It will offer a chance
for coaches and athletes to meet, exchange experience, and improve their
profession, techniques and tactics, as well as the province’s performance in
the sport. It will also aim at boosting sport exercise movements among the
province’s armed forces, youths, students and people.
The tournament will be
held on August 15, at the Hoa Binh Square in Hoa Binh city. The event aims at
celebrate the 74th anniversary of August Revolution (August 19) and National
Day (September 2).
At the meeting,
participants discussed and agreed on preparation works, including
infrastructure, race, healthcare and security, to make the tournament a
success./.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).

On February 23, the Hoa Binh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training’s karate division and the provincial Karate federation, organised the 2025 national karate dan promotion exam at the provincial sports arena. The exam covered the first (Shodan), second (Nidan), and third (Sandan) dan levels, with no fourth (Yondan) or fifth (Godan) dan tests this year.
