(HBO) - On October 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training to hold the opening ceremony of the 34th National Road and Off-Road Bicycle Championship in 2020. Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Member of the Provincial Party Committee Member, the Head of Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Tran Duc Phan, the Deputy Director General in charge of Vietnam General Department of Sports and Physical Training, and the leaders of departments, branches and nearly 200 athletes and coaches attended.
The athletes are competing in the men's scoring content.
The 34th
National Road and Off-Road Bicycle Championship in 2020 attracts more than 100
male and female athletes from 15 delegations such as Son La, Vinh Phuc, Thanh
Hoa, Lao Cai, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, An Giang, Hau Giang, Dong
Thap, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Dong Nai, the Military Region 7 and Hoa Binh. The
tournament purpose is to develop the sport movement, to promote the campaign
"The whole nation trains the body following the great example of Uncle Ho” and
to develop cycling in particular. At the same time, it is an opportunity to
promote tourism potential, introducing Hoa Binh culture and people to the other
delegations attending the tournament. According to the plan, the tournament
takes place from October 14th to 22nd in Hoa Binh City.
Immediately
after the opening ceremony, the athletes competed in two scoring races for men
and women. The results are as follows: the first prize of 31.5km for the female
individual was awarded to Nguyen Thi That (An Giang team), the second prize was
awarded to Nguyen Thi Thu Mai (An Giang), the third prize was awarded to Nguyen
Thi Thi (An Giang). The first prize of 45km for the male individual was awarded
to Quang Van Cuong (Hanoi), the second one was awarded to Nguyen Tan Hoai (Dong
Thap) and the third one was awarded to Nguyen Pham Quoc Khang (Dong Nai).
In two days, March 3rd – 4th, the Women's Union of Hoa Binh city coordinated with the Center for Culture, Sports and Information of the city to organize the 1st Women's Steam Volleyball Tournament in Hoa Binh in 2024.
Since early 2024, high-achievement sports athletes have received intensive training in preparation for provincial and national tournaments this year.

In May 2020, the crossbow shooting club of Doc Lap commune was established, satisfying the passion of the crossbow lovers. On February 5th, the Organizing Committee of Hoa Binh Marathon in 2024 held a meeting to discuss and agree on the contents of the tournament and assign the tasks to the members of the Organizing Committee.
