(HBO) - From March 31stnd to April 2, at the stadium of Yen Thuy district, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Yen Thuy district to hold the Provincial Volleyball Championship in 2021. This was the first competition in the program of the 7th Provincial Congress of Gymnastics and Sports in 2021.
The organizing committee is awarding the
medals and the championship trophy for men's volleyball to Lac Son team.
There were 192 athletes from 9
male volleyball teams and 7 female volleyball teams from 10 districts, the city
and the provincial Public Security participating in the competition. They were
competing for 2 sets of medals. The male teams were divided into 3 groups
competing in round and the team with the highest score in each group and the
highest runner-up were chosen to take part in the semi-finals. The female teams
were divided into 2 groups and each first and second group were selected to
take part in the semi-finals. After 3 days, there were 26 exciting and
attractive matches, the athletes showed good playing style with many beautiful
ball phases, and they were enthusiastically cheered by the fans.
At the end of the tournament,
the organizing committee awarded the medals and championship trophy to the
teams with the high achievements. Lac Son team won first prize for the male
volleyball, the second prize was awarded to Luong Son team and the third prize
was awarded to Kim Boi team. Yen Thuy team won the first prize for the female
volleyball, the runners-up was the team of Hoa Binh City, and the third prize
was awarded to Kim Boi team. In addition, the team of the Provincial Public
Security won the award for the men's style award, Mai Chau women's team won the
style award and the movement award was given to the Kim Boi team.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).

On February 23, the Hoa Binh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training’s karate division and the provincial Karate federation, organised the 2025 national karate dan promotion exam at the provincial sports arena. The exam covered the first (Shodan), second (Nidan), and third (Sandan) dan levels, with no fourth (Yondan) or fifth (Godan) dan tests this year.
