Vietnam placed third at the Asian U23 Fencing Championships, which closed in Hanoi on October 31.

The host athletes pocketed three silvers and two bronzes.
Vu Van Hung took the only individual silver in the men’s sabre. The two other
silvers went to the men’s sabre and epee teams. The two bronzes were won by the
women’s epee and sabre teams.
The Republic of Korea took the top position, winning 12 out of 14 titles at the
competition. They also grabbed four silver and five bronze medals.
Hong Kong (China) finished second with two golds, three silvers and eight
bronzes.
The championships attracted nearly 250 competitors from 21 delegations.
Vietnam, as the host, had the biggest number of 45 fencers.

A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament.
