(HBO) In the morning on November 7th, during the 10th National Ethnic Sport Competition of Area I in 2017, the final male and female matches of volleyball were taken place at Hoa Binh provincial gymnasiums.

The provincial gymnasiums has
the capacity of over 750 people and it was full of audience since the early
morning. They came to follow, cheer and encourage the spirit of the athletes.
The female athletes of Nghe An and Hoa Binh participated in
this final match with high determination, showed many beautiful and attractive
scenes in volleyball. Nghe An team had stronger and more effective attacks,
therefore, after 4 sets of the dramatic match, they defeated Hoa Binh team and
became the winner with the score of 3-1.
In the second match between male
Phu Tho and Hoa Binh, after 3 sets, with the spirit of determination, excellent
play and enthusiasm of the provincial athletes, Hoa Binh team won the match
convincingly with the score of 3-0 against Phu Tho team (the score of each set
is 25-21;25-23;25-14 respectively).
There are 6 provinces and cities
attending the volleyball competition, including Ha Noi, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Ha
Giang, Nghe An and the host Hoa Binh. There are about 80 male and female
athletes divided into 8 teams. In 4 days, from November 4th to
November 7th, there were many attractive and exciting matches which
brought a lot of feelings to the audience and volleyball lovers. Finally, the
result is that in female volleyball competition, Nghe An team got the first
prize, Hoa Binh was the second, Ha Giang and Lao Cai were the third, meanwhile,
in male competition, Hoa Binh got the first prize, Phu Tho was the second and
Lao Cai and Ha Noi became the third.
From now until November 9th,
at the provincial stadium, there are still a lot of matches for becoming the
winners in football and tug of war competitions.

A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
Hoa Binh province held a ceremony at Hoa Binh Square on the morning of March 23 to launch the "All People Exercise Following the Example of Great Uncle Ho" movement and the Olympic Run Day for public health 2025.
In 2 days, March 1-2, 2025, at the Provincial Gymnasium, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism organized the 2025 Provincial Youth Championship of Crossbow Shooting, Tug-of-War, and Stich Pushing. This annual event is hosted by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
On February 23, the Hoa Binh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training’s karate division and the provincial Karate federation, organised the 2025 national karate dan promotion exam at the provincial sports arena. The exam covered the first (Shodan), second (Nidan), and third (Sandan) dan levels, with no fourth (Yondan) or fifth (Godan) dan tests this year.
In the early days of the Year of the Snake, Hoa Binh province is filled with a lively and joyful atmosphere as various sports exchange and competition activities take place. These events have become a cherished tradition among local ethnic communities, strengthening their solidarity and fostering their close bonds. They contribute to the robust development of grassroots sports movements, enhancing the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
