It also helps improve the professional qualifications and experience in organizing, directing and administering for the people working in the field of sports and physical activities…”, said Mr. Dao Tien Cuong, the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In October 2020, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2616/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Organizing Committee of the 7th Provincial Sports Congress in 2022. After that, the Organizing Committee of the Congress issued and implemented Plan No. 184/KH-BTC on organizing the 7th Provincial Sports Congress in 2022 and attending the 9th National Sports Congress in 2022. During the organization process, the Organizing Board of of the congress has issued many official documents, decisions, plans... towards the success of the Sports Congress at all levels.

In 2021, a number of communes, wards and townships started organizing the sports congresses. However, the complicated development of Covid-19 epidemics significantly affected the progress and scale of the organization. According to the plan, the communal sports congress would be completed before May 31, 2022; The sports congress at the district’s level would be completed before August 15, 2022; The Provincial Sports Congress would take place from September 27 to October 1, 2022. The organizing committee of the congress directed the completion according to the set plan. 151 communes, wards and townships held the Sports Congress, reaching 100% and exceeding the set targets. On average, they organized 5-7 sports, including 2-3 ethnic sports at the communal sports congress. By August 15, 10 nout of the10 districts and the city successfully organized the Sports Congress. The two branches, the Provincial Public Security and the Ministry Headquarrters selected the athletes to compete in the subjects in the congress. In general, the sports congresses at communal and district’s levels basically achieved the set requirements and purposes, ensuring safety, quality, and the sufficient number of the sports competitions according to the regulations, the fairness and objectivity, the accuracy, which is suitable to the actual situation of the locality, attracting the participation of a large number of people.

In the 7th Provincial Sports Congress in 2022, there were 15 competitive sports, including table tennis, badminton, swimming, volleyball, football, tennis, marathon, karate, vovinam, chess, Chinese chess, crossbow shooting, tug of war, stick pushing, athletics with the participation of over 1,400 athletes, competing in 122 sets of medals. From March 31 to April 2, Provincial Volleyball Championship in 2021 was the first competition in the 7th Provincial Sports Congress with the participation of 192 athletes from 9 male teams and 7 female teams in 10 districts and the city, Provincial Public Security. The organization of the competitions in the Provincial Sports Congress ensured safety, fairness, objectivity and accuracy. A number of athletes achieved the impressive achievements from the grassroots sports congresses to provincial sports congresses. The are Dinh Thanh Hue (Da Bac) in marathon; Bui Ngoc Tan (Yen Thuy) in athletics; Tran Viet Cuong (Kim Boi) in football; Dinh Van Bay (Tan Lac), Tran Anh Tuan (Hoa Binh City) in pushing sticks; Quach Van Luc (Lac Son) in crossbow shooting; Bui Thi Huong (Kim Boi) in karate; Lee Quang Minh (Hoa Binh City) in tennis; Quach Hong Thai (Lac Son) in swimming…

To ensure a successful opening ceremony of the Provincial Sports Congress, the Organizing Committee actively prepared all conditions in terms of facilities, security and order, traffic safety, health care, fire prevention and fighting and rescue…The press agencies of the province: Hoa Binh Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and Provincial Electronic Portal strengthened propaganda before, during and after the congress. The opening ceremony of the congress with the participation of more than 5,000 people took place successfully, joyfully, excitingly, majestically and imbued with national identity, leaving good impressions in the hearts of the people.

The success of the 7th Provincial Sports Congress has confirmed the campaign "All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho” and the province's sports career is increasingly prosperous, constantly developing strongly both physically and mentally in quantity and quality, gradually raising the status in national and regional sports arenas.
