From March 21st – 23rd, the Department of Education and Training organized the Badminton - Table Tennis Tournament for students in Hoa Binh province in 2024.


The organizing committee was awarding the badminton first, second and third prizes to the entire team of the Education and Training division.

There was the participation of 368 athletes from 31 units and schools throughout the province in the tournament. The athletes are the students of elementary, middle, and high school ages from schools and clubs in the province participating in the following events: men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

After 3 days, the athletes competed with the spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, trying for the highest achievements, and the tournament was a great success.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first, second, and third prizes to the athletes of all ages in table tennis and badminton; awarding the first, second and third prizes to the entire group for elementary, middle and high school groups. In particular, the first prize for the table tennis and badminton team of the Department of Education and Training both belonged to the Division of Education and Training of Hoa Binh city.

According to the Organizing Committee, the success of the tournament contributes to promoting the campaign "All people do exercises according to the example of the great Uncle Ho”; encouraging the movement of physical training and sports in schools, especially badminton and table tennis to promptly discover and foster the sports talents for students.

The tournament is also an opportunity for the talented teenagers and children who are passionate about badminton and table tennis to interact, learn and accumulate experience in competition, aiming for higher and further tournaments.

The tournament helps select and prepare the team to attend the 10th National Phu Dong Health Festival in 2024.

At the National Championship for Stick Pushing and Tug of War in 2024 taking place in Dak Lak recently, a delegation of athletes from Hoa Binh province participated in both events. For stick pushing, they participated in 9 weight categories and won 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Notably, the two young athletes who were both born in 2006 are the children of Van Son commune (Lac Son) and have contributed a lot to the province's competition achievements.

In Thuong Coc commune (Lac Son), there are over 9,000 people, living in 14 hamlets.
