(HBO) - In recent years, Da Bac district has increased attracting investment in tourism development. In 2015, the District Party Committee issued Resolution No. 09 on "District Tourism Development for the period of 2015-2020, vision to 2030". In June 2017, the District People's Committee issued Decision No. 1908 on the approval of the Scheme District tourism development by 2020 with vision to 2030.
The goal of the scheme
to 2020, the district becomes an eco-tourism center, discovery and closely
connects with Hoa Binh lake tourist area. Typical tourism products: ecotourism,
discovery, relaxation, spirituality and beauty of the lake... Da Bac district
expects to become one of the key tourist destinations of the province in 2030.

Up to now, the
district has 9 accommodation establishments with 66 rooms, 3 community tourist
sites in Hien Luong, Tien Phong and Cao Son communes and 1 tourist spot in Dua
island (belonging to Hoa Binh lake tourist area).
The number of tourists
coming to Da Bac is increasing. In 2018, there were 79,500 visitors to the
district. In which, 2,900 international visitors, revenue from tourism reached
VND 14.2 billion. According to the plan and forecast, in 2019, the district
will welcome about 90,000 visitors, including about 3,000 international
visitors.
The district has been
making efforts to propagate and promote the potential and strengths of tourism.
At the same time, spread "red carpet" to attract investment in
tourism development in the area.
Boasting diverse terrain, a mild climate, and rich natural resources, Cao Phong district is increasingly asserting its place on Vietnam’s tourism map, attracting both domestic and foreign visitors. The district is renowned for its stunning landscapes, majestic mountains, a crystal-clear hydropower lake, and the unique cultural identity of local ethnic groups.
With its pristine landscapes, unique cultural heritage of Muong ethnic minority, and an expanding range of visitor experiences, Tan Lac district of Hoa Binh has fast become a captivating destination for both domestic and international tourists.
Until now, Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district remains the only Dao ethnic community in Hoa Binh province to develop a community-based tourism model. Beyond its untouched natural landscapes, cultural identity serves as the cornerstone attraction for visitors.
Alongside the diverse cultural identities of the Kinh, Muong, Tay, Thai, Dao, and Mong ethnic people, Hoa Binh province is also renowned as the "capital" of the northwestern Vietnamese cuisine, offering unique and distinctive dishes. At festivals, during Lunar New Year (Tet), or on significant family or community occasions, special dishes are prepared, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
