(HBO) - Referring to Kim Boi, many people immediately think of it as a place with the abundant hot mineral water, beautiful natural scenery and massive folklore treasures of the ancient Muong Dong residents. For many years, Kim Boi district has made efforts to turn the potentials into advantages for tourism development. Currently, the district has shortened the route to build a "paradise” of resorts and experience, learning about the cultural identity to promote tourism.


Muong Dong festival in Kim Boi has been restored to preserve and promote the cultural identity and strengthen the district’s tourism development.

In fact, Kim Boi has been on the tourism map of the country for a long time. However, tourists used to arrive here mainly to the mineral spring tourism destination. Having clearly identified the potential, Kim Boi has focused on promoting the available potential to attract investment in tourism development over the past decade. Accordingly, many attractive tourism attractions have been formed. They include V-Resort (Vinh Tien eco-tourism area); Cuu Thac Tu Son tourism area; Sun Waterfall in Kim Boi Commune; Serena Resort (a resort in Khai Doi hamlet, Sao Bay commune); An Lac Eco Farm & Hot Springs (an eco-tourism area in Vinh Dong commune)…, which have all become attractive destinations for tourists.

At weekends, the resorts such as Serena Resort, V-Resort, An Lac Eco Farm & Hot Springs are basically full. Every year, there are about 200,000 turns of visitors to Kim Boi, the revenue is nearly 200 billion VND. In order to develop tourism potential, in 2017, the District’s People's Committee issued Decision No. 1126/QD-UBND approving the project on the tourism development of Kim Boi district until 2020, with a vision to 2030. The objective is to build high-class resorts in combination with community tourism and to form the tours of high quality. By 2025, Kim Boi tries to welcome about 400 thousand turns of visitors and by 2030, it welcomes about 650 thousand turns of visitors. The total revenue from tourism is estimated to reach about 460 billion VND by 2025, and it is about 900 billion VND by 2030.

The district has implemented the solutions to improve the capacity of the state management in tourism activities, improve the investment and business environment, support and encourage businesses, organizations and individuals to participate in the development of various types of tourism products according to the planning. On the one hand, they have been focusing on propaganda and promotion of the images, potentials and advantages of tourism attractions. A new website on tourism development has been built. The tourism products under the OCOP Program have been selected and proposed to develop; A cluster of panels "Introduction map of tourism attractions in the district” has been installed, creating the favorable conditions for tourists to visit and explore. In December 2021, the district organized an investment promotion program with the topic "Trekking, resort and investment promotion in Muong Dong”. At the workshop, the representatives of Kim Boi district's leadership gave an overview of the potential and prospects for tourism development in the locality, proposing the solutions to ensure safe tourism in the new situation, and improving the service quality in association and cooperation to develop tourism ...

Following closely the roadmap for tourism development, Mr. Dinh Thanh Tung, the Vice Chairman of the District’s People's Committee shares: Kim Boi has been actively "carpeting” to welcome investors for tourism development. The district has been attracting 10 investors for research, survey and construction of the projects for tourism development. They are Viet - ECO Hoa Binh joint Stock Company, La Vong Group joint Stock Company, Vietnam Financial Investment Group joint Stock Company, KB Group Commercial Investment joint Stock Company, Vingroup Group, Sun Group, APEX Group, Dai Lam joint Stock Company... In the coming time, the district will continue carrying out and implementing well the projects for tourism development of Kim Boi district in the period of 2020 – 2025. They will coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to build and embellish the tangible and intangible cultural heritages in the area and put them into operation for tourism development. 

It is necessary to promote and connect the tours, the routes and the tourism attractions with the tourism businesses. Additionally, they will develop the routes and link with other localities such as Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Son La... with the expectation of creating the products of new variety and much attraction. They include mountain climbing, cable car riding, high-class resort models in association with the exploration activities of the cultural identity ..., so that they can become attractive destinations for tourists from all over the world.
