The Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the organisation of the fourth provincial congress of ethnic minority groups held a meeting on October 29 to discuss the progress of preparations for the congress. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the Steering Committee chaired the event. The congress is slated for November 14-15 at the provincial Cultural Palace, expecting 250 official delegates.

The congress will be themed "People of all ethnic groups of
Hoa Binh stay united and creative, promoting potential, integrating, and
developing sustainably”. At the event, delegates will listen to a political
report, and reports on ethnic minority affairs in the 2019-2024 period, approve
a letter of determination and discuss emulation and commendation activities.
Within the framework of the congress, delegates will offer incense
to President Ho Chi Minh, and enjoy an art programme. They will also visit a
photo exhibition spotlighting ethnic minority affairs activities in the
province, and a display of typical products and the culture of local ethnic
minority groups.
At the meeting, delegates and member of the Steering
Committee discussed specific tasks and the progress of preparations for the
congress, as well as issues related to the time of the congress, number and
members of the Presidium and secretaries of the congress, as well as the
congress agenda and speakers.
Concluding the meeting, Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the
Hoa Binh People’s Committee and head of the Steering Committee hailed the
efforts of sub-committees and the standing agency of the provincial Ethnic Minority
Committee in preparing for the congress.
He asked the subcommittees and members of the Steering
Committee to complete documents of the congress based on ideas discussed at the
meeting, while ensuring careful and thorough preparations in logistics,
communications, reception, and security-order for the congress.
The official requested media agencies in the province to
increase the popularisation of the contents of the congress as activities
before, during and after the event. He assigned the Committee for Ethnic
Minority Affairs to perfect the congress programme and review the list of
official delegates and guests. The Steering Committee for the congress should
continue to direct its members and subcommittees to complete their tasks,
ensuring its success.
