(HBO)– Hoa Binh newspaper recently hosted a programme entitled "Hanh trinh ve nguon” (Journey to the Roots) for Party newspapers in northern mountainous and midland provinces and Hanoi capital in 2018. More than 130 delegates representing nearly 1,000 officials, Party members and youths of 16 Party news outlets joined the journey.

This year’s programme was more significant as it was organised on
the occasion of the 128th birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi
Minh (May 19, 1890-2018). The event began with an incense offering to late
President Ho Chi Minh at his statue at Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.
On behalf of participating delegates, a representative from Hoa Binh
newspaper delivered a speech to inform Uncle Ho of efforts and achievements
made by Party newspapers in northern mountainous and midland provinces and
Hanoi in the past time. Following Uncle Ho’s teachings, journalists work hard
to become revolutionary soldiers in the cultural front, who help disseminate
political, socio-economic, defence-security tasks to contribute to the entire
Party, people and army’s efforts to successfully fulfil all-level Party
congresses’ resolutions.
Many social welfare activities were also organised within the
framework of the programme.
In Thuong Tien commune, Kim Boi district, the delegation granted
two cows and 30 gifts to poor local households, along with an orchard.
Meanwhile, in Hoa Binh city, gifts were presented to 54 poor
students with good academic performance in Thinh Lang primary and secondary
schools in Thinh Lang ward, and the provincial boarding high school for ethnic
students.
The 2019 programme will be hosted by Cao Bang newspaper.

In Hoa Binh province, this spirit is not just a slogan, it’s being put into action through concrete initiatives that form a "new development triangle”: digital citizenship, digital economy, and digital administration.
