Receiving a scholarship from the program, Ban Thi Nga, a student from class 3A, says: "My family is in difficult circumstances, with the attention from the agencies, units, businesses..., I am very happy and touched when I received the scholarship. This scholarship helps me and my family have more conditions to cover my study expenses. I promise to study well to become a good child and a good student...”.

Currently, in our province there are 226,541 children, accounting for 25.8% of the province's population. The children in the special circumstance belong to 14 groups of children with 2,886 children and nearly 53 thousand children are at risk of falling into the special circumstance. The work of protecting, caring for and educating children is always directed and implemented by the Party committees, the appropriate authorities, departments, branches and organizations of the province. Thanks to that, a living environment and favorable conditions have bên created for the children to ensure their basic rights and comprehensive development of virtue - mind - body - beauty.

The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs is the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for implementation of the Child Protection Program. In recent years, the Department has actively advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many documents on the children's work. At the same time, they have promulgated the documents guiding the implementation, construction and organization of inspection and supervision of the child protection and care work...

It is determined that propaganda plays an important role in the work of the child protection, care and education, so information, propaganda, and dissemination of the laws, knowledge, and skills to perform the tasks of the child care and protection have been promoted. The localities have organized many communication activities with rich and diverse forms on preventing and combating accidents, injuries, drowning, child abuse... Thereby, the awareness and responsibility of the families and homes, schools, agencies, organizations and the whole society in the work of children's protection, care and education are constantly improving. The board of the child protection at the commune’s and villoage’s level always monitor the situation and capture the information about the children in the area.

Besides, caring for and taking care of the children's lives is carried out through many practical activities. Every year, on the occasion of holidays and Tet, tens of thousands of meaningful gifts are given to the children, especially the children with special and difficult circumstances in the province. Children's education is of interest to all levels, sectors, schools, and parents, creating conditions for the children to learn, play, and entertain. The educational, communicative and extracurricular activities on life skills and self-protection skills are organized regularly.

The children's right to participate is promoted from the grassroots. In 2023, through the meeting and dialogue program between the provincial leaders and the children; 6 out of the 10 districts and the city organized the Children's Forums at the district’s evel; 30 out of the 151 communes, wards and towns organized the Children's Forum at the commune’s level, thereby it has been contributing to conveying the children's messages and recommendations to the provincial leaders, departments, branches, unions and localities.

However, in 2023, there are still children’s sexual abuse, child death due to injuries, and child violence.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh Ngoc, the Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the work of children's protection, care and education in 2023 has achieved many encouraging results, especially the work of raising awareness of children's right to participate in children's issues, the number of children being supported and given gifts on the occasion of Children's Day, June 1, Mid-Autumn Festival... is increasing. The intervention, monitoring, and support for children suffering from accidents and injuries, the children being sexually abused, the children with special circumstances and at risk of falling into special circumstances have received more timely attention and implementation from the Party committees and the local authorities...
