(HBO) - In the past years, the movement of "good person’s propaganda" has been implemented by the Party Committee and the Government of Du Sang commune (Kim Boi) in a wide implementation with diversified contents, which achieved positive effectiveness, contributing to changing the face of rural areas.


From the emulation movement " good person’s propaganda",the local people in Bua Sao Hamlet, Du Sang Commune (Kim Boi) have converted 100% of rice area into growing vegetables.

 

The propaganda with the population are synchronously and creatively implemented by the commune, then achieved many positive results. From the emulation movement "good person’s propaganda", the Party Committee, the Government of the commune have led the people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, promoting the democratic regulations at grassroot level, actively participating in socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty alleviation, to maintain the policy security – social security order.

After 5 years of implementation of the project about restructuring of plants from 2013, the face of agriculture in the commune has clearly changed. At present, the area of ​​rice cultivation in the commune has gradually shifted to grow fruits and vegetables, bringing about 5-6 times higher economic value on a cultivated area. The commune has strengthened the plantation of plants such as: pumpkin, red pumpkin, melon, sweet potato, bitter melon, vegetables, etc. with the total area of ​​205 hectares, which is concentrated in Bai Tam, Bua Sao, Dong Bai, Go Bui, Vo Mai, etc. The pumpkin is considered as the main agricultural products of the locality with over 90 hectares, reaching an average yield of nearly 250 quintals per hectare. Some commodity plants for seeds such as pumpkin, bitter melon reached an average yield of nearly 50 hectares. In addition, the area of ​​fruit trees such as oranges, grapefruit, etc. gradually expanded with 133.3 hectares, 19.4 hectares of which have been newly planted in 2018.

Bua Sao hamlet has successfully converted 100% of rice area to vegetables plantation. At present, the total area of pumpkin, sweet potato, bitter melon, etc. Of the hamlet are more than 15 hectares, in which pumpkins account for more than 60%. The green pumpkin is sold with an average selling price of 10,000 VND/ kg, while the price of seedlings plants is at an average of 500,000-600,000 VND/ kg, the farmers can earn about 200-300 million VND / hectare for each harvest. Thanks to the efficient plantation conversion, the poverty rate of the hamlet decreases gradually and the income is improved each year.
