(HBO) - The provincial People's Committee issued a decision on February 24 on the establishment of an intensive care centre for COVID-19 patients at the provincial General Hospital.

takes care of a heavy patient at the provincial General Hospital.
The centre will be responsible for receiving and treating heavy and critical
COVID-19 patients that require a ventilator, hemodialysis, surgery or
specialised treatment. It aims to treat serious cases and prevent the spread of
the pandemic in the community.
The director of the provincial General Hospital will be the centre’s director
while the head of Intensive Care Department No 1 and head nurse of the
infectious disease department will be in charge of professional and nursing
working. Its staff are mobilised from departments of the hospital depending on
the actual conditions.
In compliance with a decision of the provincial People's Committee, the General
Hospital has issued a plan on the deployment of the 100-bed COVID-19 Intensive
Care Centre commissioned early this month.
Hoa Binh General Hospital is one of the 33 facilities designated by the
Ministry of Health to set up an intensive care unit. The centre is under the
direction of the provincial Department of Health and the MoH’s Medical
Examination and Treatment Department. It is assigned to provide professional
support for the intensive care units of hospitals and medical centres under its
management./.
