(HBO) – Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong, together with a delegation of NA deputies’ group No. 5 of the 14th-tenure NA’s eighth session, offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue at the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant on November 10.

The incense offering ceremony was also attended by Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Ninh, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and head of the NA deputies’ delegation of Hoa Binh province; and Bui Van Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Offering incense and flowers, the delegation paid tribute to the late President who devoted his entire life to the fight for national liberation and reunification.

On this occasion, they planted memorial trees in the area of the monument.

Earlier, Phong visited an orange cultivation model in Cao Phong district.She affirmed the attainments by local farming households have proved local authorities’ right move in encouraging people to switch to the plants suiting local conditions, adding that other localities can learn experience from this model.

She asked Hoa Binh to continue expanding not only the cultivation of citrus trees but also many other agricultural products to improve local farm produce’s value and raise people’s income.

The province should also cooperate more strongly with businesses in the production, processing and sale of agricultural products, including orange, to ensure stable sale and serve export, the NA Vice Chairwoman added./.
