According to Ha Cong Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Mai Chau Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the district, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Mai Chau plays a pivotal role in bridging the Party, the State, and the people. The district currently has a total of 17,310 households, of them over 12,000 are ethnic minority families.
