(HBO) - On November 13, the sub-committee on documents for 17th provincial Party Congress (2020-2025 term) held a meeting under the chair of Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the sub-committee.

At the meeting, participants heard and gave opinions on several draft documents, namely the political report to be submitted to the 17th provincial Party Congress (2020-2025 term), report reviewing the performance of the 16th-tenure provincial Party Committee (2015-2020 term), report on socio-economic situation during the five year period 2015-2020 and the five-year socio-economic development plan for 2020-2025.

The discussion focused on the following issues: the theme of the congress, which is required to clearly demonstrate the major orientations, guiding ideology, key targets and tasks, the driving force for development and breakthrough policies of the province in the next tenure; targets and solutions to mobilise resources, develop infrastructure, tourism, urban areas and industry in combination with environmental protection.

Concluding the meeting, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee stressed that the reports should reflect the provincial Party Committee’s strategic vision and thinking, major goals and basic directions, as well as the political resolve of the province’s Party organization and people in the next tenure and following years.

At the same time, the targets should be feasible considering the province’s development level and integration process.

He suggested that attention be paid to developing industry, while tourism should be designated as the main and spearhead sector in economic development./.
