Vietnam considers cooperation with Boeing a long-term and strategic plan and the Government will create all favourable conditions for the US company to expand investment in the country.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Kevin McAllister

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the assertion at a reception for President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Kevin McAllister in Hanoi on October 2.

He hoped Boeing and Vietnamese airlines will reach cooperation agreements in the future.

The PM asked the US biggest airplane manufacturer to continue supporting Vietnamese partners in selecting suitable plans and conducting efficient flights.

He called for Boeing’s assistance in opening a pilot training centre in Vietnam in the coming time.

With a large number of Boeing airplanes that Vietnam Airlines has hired and purchased along with the growing cooperation between Vietnam and the US, the PM expressed his belief in a new cooperation chapter with the US company.

He noted that Vietnam has launched direct flights to the UK and Australia, and hoped Boeing will support Vietnam in operating direct flights to the US, which is significant in developing the Vietnam-US relations.

For his part, Kevin showed his impression on Vietnam’s socio-economic development, especially the rapid growth of the country’s aviation market.

Vietnam could become a partner to supply components for the production of Boeing airplanes, he said, adding that the US company will continue providing the best-quality aircraft for Vietnam.

Boeing is willing to send its experts to help Vietnam, especially in improving aviation infrastructure and aircraft quality, he said.
