(HBO) - After nearly four years of implementing the Political Bureau's Directive No. 05 on promoting the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, over 80 percent of units at grassroots level in Lac Thuy district have completed the building of standards on professional and public service ethics following the President’s example.

Every year, over 90 percent of Party members in the district’s Party Organisation build learning plans associated with the implementation of professional tasks and set out measures to overcome shortcomings.

Youths in Lac Thuy district donate money to support the family of Nguyen Thi Dung – an disadvantaged household in Manh Tien 1 village, Yen Bong commune.

The Party Organisation of Hung Thi commune is one of the good examples in implementing Directive No.5. Over the past four years, local Party members, officials, public servants, and youths have donated over 56 million VND to buy bicycles for poor students and equip water filters at schools.

The communal women’s union has encoauged its members to set up a fund to support low-income families. Nguyen Huu Duc - former Permanent Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Lao commune (now Phu Nghia commune) has been mentioned as a good example in learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s morality.

With his love and respect for the nation’s great leader, Duc has collected 5,000 photos and thousands of articles and stories about President Ho Chi Minh over the past nine years.

In 2019, Lac Thuy district honoured 115 outstanding collectives and individuals in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle./.
