(HBO) – Last year, the Party organization of Phu Cuong Commune (Tan Lac district) admitted 11 new members, 37 percent higher than the yearly plan. All the new Party members are young, educated people with high school degrees or higher. Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Phu Cuong commune (Tan Lac) reports to a standing member of the commune’s Party Committee on training of potential Party member candidates.

Phu Cuong’s Party organization now has 15 cells with 365 members. In order to increase the Party membership, the communal Party Committee has directed its cells to raise awareness and sense of responsibility among local officials and mass organisations about the importance of fostering potential candidates for the Party.

The communal Party organization has actively coordinated with the district’s political centre to open a training course for potential candidates for the Party. A total of 47 people attended the course, including 30 from Phu Cuong and the remainder from the neighbouring communes of Suoi Hoa, Phu Vinh and My Hoa. Additionally, local political organisations have promoted emulation movements to provide a conducive environment for the candidates to sharpen their knowledge and demonstrate their ability.

By the end of February, the Phu Cuong Party organization had admitted two new members and plans to welcome three others within the first quarter of this year. This young generation of Party members have been demonstrating their capabilities and strengths and setting examples for others to follow in developing their homeland.

The Party organization has proved to be effective in recruiting new members as part of efforts to strengthen the Party’s combat capacity and enhance Party building./.
