(HBO) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong paid a working visit to Hoa Binh province on March 22.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee and head of the National Assembly deputies’ delegation of Hoa Binh, gave a brief report on the province's performance of political tasks since the start of the 2020 - 2025 tenure, along with the targets and tasks for 2022. He affirmed that the Party organisation and people of Hoa Binh have brought into play solidarity, promoted reform and innovation, and carried out many measures for putting the COVID-19 pandemic under control, boosting socio-economic development, and ensuring social security.

He added the local Party organisation is investing efforts in making four strategic breakthroughs in planning, administrative reforms, infrastructure development, and improvement of human resources quality. It is also focusing on the three main pillars of agriculture, high-value and clean industries, and tourism so as to help the province achieve the average development level by 2025.

Addressing the working session with the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong applauded efforts and achievements by the Party organisation, administration, and people of ethnic groups in Hoa Binh.

He asked the provincial Party organisation to continue upholding solidarity, step up reforms and innovation, clarify shortcomings, and devise measures for effectively implementing the documents issued by the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, especially the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 17th provincial Party Congress, thereby successfully meeting the set targets.

He expressed his belief that the Party organisation, administration, and people of Hoa Binh will stay united and join hands to push ahead with reforms so as to achieve and surpass the targets and tasks set by the 17th provincial Party Congress, including achieving the national average level of economic development by 2025 and becoming a developed province that is among the best performers in the northern mountainous and midland region by 2030.

Earlier, General Secretary Trong visited the R Technical Research Vietnam Co. Ltd, a firm wholly invested by Japan and based at the Da River Left Bank Industrial Park in the province’s Hoa Binh city.

On this occasion, the Party leader sent a television as a gift to the cultural centre of Mo village in Binh Thanh commune (Cao Phong district) and 10 gift packages worth 1 million VND each to 10 disadvantaged households in the province./.
