(HBO) - On December 9th, the final of the Beauty Contest for Muong land in 2019 officially took place at the Cultural Palace of Hoa Binh province. This is a focal point of the series of activities taking place during the Week of Culture and Tourism of Hoa Binh Province in 2019.

The contest is to honor the value and the beauty of Muong ethnic girls in particular and the beauty of the land and people of Hoa Binh in general. The contest is also to preserve and promote the cultural traditions of the ethnic groups in the province, to send messages about the long history of Hoa Binh culture to domestic and international friends.

After more than 3 months of challenges from the preliminary selection, the preliminary examination, and the final, 23 best contestants participated in the final night.

At the beginning of the contest, all the candidates appeared on stage in the traditional brocade dresses designed by Cong Le. Next, the contestants showed off their catwalk performance with a collection of the evening dresses called "May” designed by Thanh Huong Bui.

Following the performances, the jury called out the top 10 contestants, including Bui Thi Ly, registration number 107; Ha Thanh Hue, registration number 122; Bui Thi Linh, registration number 080; Bui Thi Vien, registration number 109; Bui Thi Nu, registration number 081; Vi Thi Nhat Le, registration number 097; Bui Thi Nu, registration number 083; Quach Thi Tin, registration number 084; Bui Thi Sao Mai, registration number 112 and Nguyen Ham Huong, registration number 089.

Five contestants, including Bui Thi Sao Mai, Nguyen Ham Huong, Quach Thi Tin, Bui Thi Nu and Bui Thi Nu have been selected for the behavioral round. With the smart and astute answer contributing to setting up the image of Hoa Binh tourism, a friendly and attractive destination and offering a way to introduce and promote Hoa Binh tourism to friends throughout the  country and the world, the contestant Nguyen Ham Huong has been given an absolute score and named the title of The First Beauty of Muong land with a prize worth 50 million VND and a crown worth 300 million VND.
The second Beauty of Muong land was awarded to the contestant Bui Thi Nu with the prize of 30 million VND and the third Beauty of land Muong was awarded to the contestant Bui Thi Sao Mai with the prize of 25 million VND.

Along with the beauty thrones of Muong land, the Organizing Committee also awarded the following extra prizes: The lovely beauty to Bui Thi Ly, the friendly beauty to Vi Thi Thanh Huyen, the talented beauty to Bui Thi Nu, the beauty in the most beautiful traditional costume to Bui Thi Tin,  the beauty the traditional long dress to Quach Thi Ti, the beauty of style to Bui Thi Vien and the most beloved beauty from the audience was awarded to Bui Thu Phuong.

With the highest throne - The first Beauty of Muong land, the contestant Nguyen Ham Huong from Hoa Binh city has officially become the tourism ambassador of Hoa Binh province in 2019.

In the final night, the Organizing Committee gave flowers to the diamond sponsors, the gold sponsors, the silver sponsors, the copper sponsors and the designers for supporting and accompanying with the Beauty of Muong land.

The Government Office with Document No. 2082/VPCP-KGVX, dated March 29, 2024, sent out the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha regarding the submission of the "Mo Muong" and "Cheo art" dossiers to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
