Authorities of Yen Thuy district have implemented a series of measures to preserve and uphold the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the locality. The district has 12 cultural and historical relic sites, and scenic spots, including three national relics – Chua Cave and Hang Pagoda in Yen Tri commune, Thien Ton water Cave in Ngoc Luong commune, and Thien Long Cave in Lac Luong commune; and nine provincial-level relics.

The People’s Committee of Yen Thuy district issued Plan No. 58/KH-UBND dated May 13, 2021, on preserving and promoting the value of Mo Muong cultural heritage in 2021; and Plan No. 66/KH-UBND dated May 21, 2021, on implementing the project on preserving traditional costumes of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups in Yen Thuy district.

The local administration has paid heed to preserving and re-organising traditional festivals and those associated with historical relics imbued with national cultural identity, such as Xam Communal House Festival in Phu Lai commune, Hang Pagoda Festival in Yen Tri commune, Ram Communal House Festival, and De Rice Festival in Lac Thinh commune.

From 2018, a number of relics in the locality have been restored and embellished, contributing to meeting the spiritual demand of local residents.

In recent years, Yen Thuy authorities have also concentrated on preserving and upholding the traditional costumes of the Muong people in the locality.

As many as 10 clubs to preserve and promote the value of uniquecultural identity of the Muong people have been established in Da Phuc, Lac Luong, Lac Sy, and Lac Thinh communes.

Notably, the provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1263/QD-UBND, dated June 27, 2022, allowing the establishment of a Mo Muong club in Yen Thuy district.

Folk culture clubs have contributed to preserving and promoting typical cultural heritage values of the locality.

According to Tran Trung Kien, head of the culture and information office of Yen Thuy district, in recent years, the preservation and development of local cultural identities in the district has importantly contributed to educating the young generation about historical and cultural traditions and promoting local tourism development, thus contributing to the district's socio-economic development.
