On March 23rd, in Mai Chau district, 5 competition distances of Vietnam Ultra Marathon in 2024 (Vietnam Ultra Marathon 2024 - VUM 2024) organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mai Chau District’s People's Committee, Co., Ltd. Phu Thinh (Topas Travel) took place. This is the latest running race in the Topas Vietnam Trail Series and was held in Mai Chau district for the first time.


The athletes competing in the 25km half-marathon starting at the community yard of Lac village, Chieng Chau commune (Mai Chau). 

Over 2,200 athletes from 38 countries and territories participated in the trail running challenge in Mai Chau district. In addition, there was also the participation of more than 20 athletes, especially the disadvantaged children from the Blue Dragon Children's Organization. The athletes competed in 5 events for men and women, including 5-km movement, 10-km movement, 25-km half-marathon, 50-km marathon, 70-km ultra-marathon. 

In addition to the 25km Half Marathon, 50km Marathon, and 70km Ultra Marathon for athe thletes who want to challenge running long distances in the mountains, there are also a number of movement events, 5-km distance with relatively flat terrain, 50% of the walking road, which is suitable for children. 

The running route is mainly on the trails through Mai Chau town and Chieng Chau, Na Phon, Tattoo Khoe, Bao La, Cun Pheo and Hang Kia, communes, giving the athletes the experience of a new Mai Chau. strange with many interesting differences that few people know about. 

After a day of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the athletes who achieved impressive achievements. The specific results are as follows: in the women's 5-km movement content, the first prize was awarded to the athlete Bui Thi Lan (Vietnam); the second prize belonged to Kha Thi Tim (Vietnam); The third prize was awarded to Ngo Minh Khanh Chi (Vietnam). 

In men's 5-km movement content, the first prize was awarded to the athlete Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Vietnam); The second prize awarded to Nguyen Duc Phong (Vietnam); The third prize was awarded to Tran Tung (Vietnam). 

In the women's 10-km movement content, the first prize belonged to the athlete Kiera Bailey (United Kingdom); The second prize was awarded to Can Thi My Phuong (Vietnam); The third prize was awarded to Dinh Thi Thu Hien (Hoa Binh Runner Club - Vietnam). 

In the men's 10-km movement content, the athlete Nong Van Chuyen (Vietnam) excellently crossed the finish line in first place, winning the first prize; the second prize was awarded to Nguyen Thanh Trung (Vietnam); The third prize belonged to Nguyen Viet Cuong from Hoa Binh Runner Club - Vietnam. 

In the women's 25-km half-marathon, the champion belonged to the athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Vietnam); The second prize was awarded to Catriona Ramsay (United Kingdom); The third prize was awarded to Chu Thi Hai Yen (Runners19 - Vietnam). 

In the men's 25-km half-marathon, the first prize belonged to the athlete Randolf Gonzales (Philippines); The second prize was awarded to Nguyen Xuan Tu (Vietnam), the third prize was awarded to Khanh Mai (IMSports - Vietnam). 

In women's 50-km Marathon, the first prize belonged to the athlete Vanja Cnops (Belgium); The second prize belonged to Elena Anisimova (Russian Federation); The third prize was awarded to Dening Lo (Singapore). 

In men's 50-km Marathon, the first prize was awarded to the athlete Iurii Shtankov (Russian Federation); The second prize belonged to Michal Lesniak (Poland); The third prize was awarded to Philipp Secker (Germany). 

In the women's 70-km Ultra Marathon, the first prize was awarded to the athlete Cush Kathryn (Australia); The second prize was awarded to Christine Mitchell (United Kingdom); The third prize was awarded to Le Thi Hang (Vietnam). 

In the men's 70-km Ultra Marathon, the athlete John Ray Onifa (Philippines) excellently won the first prize; the second prize belonged to Nguyen Si Hieu (Vietnam); The third prize was awarded to Victor Guerdin (France).
