In recent times, Cao Phong District, Hoa Binh Province has focused on promoting tourism development, attracting visitors, and contributing to socio-economic growth.

Mung Hamlet, Hop Phong Commune (Cao Phong) has become a popular tourist destination during the early days of Spring 2025.

During the beginning of the At Ty Lunar New Year, a large number of tourists from within and outside the province chose Cao Phong District as a destination for their spring journeys. On Hoa Binh Lake, boats were bustling, transporting tourists from various ports to Chua Thac Bo Temple and other scenic spots in the area.

The Vietnam Scientists Heritage Park in Bac Phong Commune has attracted many visitors from other provinces. According to statistics, since the beginning of the year, this site has welcomed more than 10,000 tourists. To boost tourism, the park has implemented a 5% discount on entrance tickets.

At Bong Lai Temple in Cao Phong Town, thousands of visitors from within and outside the province came for spiritual tourism in the early days of the year. This year, the temple has expanded religious activities to serve visitors, including "hat chau van" singing, a beautiful cultural tradition of Vietnam. Other historical and scenic sites within the Dau Rong Mountain relic complex in Cao Phong Town have also been vibrant with numerous tourists.

In 2024, Cao Phong District welcomed approximately 457,000 visitors, a 13.7% increase compared to the previous year. In whích,international tourists accounted for 5,430 visits, while domestic visitors reached 451,570. The district’s tourism revenue exceeded 240 billion VND. During January and February 2025, coinciding with the At Ty Lunar New Year, the district attracted 85,000 visitors (including 950 international and 84,050 domestic tourists), generating an estimated revenue of 51 billion VND.

To further develop the tourism sector, the district has directed its departments, agencies, and localities to strengthen state management of tourism. Efforts are being made to promote tourism as a key economic sector through intensified publicity and strategic planning. Additionally, the district is enhancing tourism management, strictly implementing development plans, and regularly inspecting tourist areas to ensure compliance with legal regulations and visitor safety.
