(HBO) – In recent years, Da Bac District has explored the potential and advantage of some communes located in the area around Hoa Binh Lake to develop homestay community tourism, which leads to create a new face for the area.

Da Bac community tourism has been thriven and visited by tourists in Ke village (Hien Luong commune), Da Bia village (Tien Phong commune), Sung village (Cao Son commune) to experience and explore the beautiful nature and learn the cultural characteristics of Muong, Tay, Dao ethnic minorities, etc. living there. Especially, during the weekend or on holidays, Tet occasion, homestay households welcome many domestic and international delegations to visit and relax. In particular, they are mainly international visitors, pupils, students and household groups. Visit the villages of Ke, Da Bia or Sung, visitors have a chance to discover the mountains, majestic forests, great large lakes; to enjoy the same life, feel the cultural life, labor production of the local people.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang, a tourist from Ba Dinh district (Hanoi) said: According to the introduction of friends who came here, I take advantage of the weekend to organize a tour together with some families for our children to visit and experience in Da Bia village. The scenery is so beautiful, the local people are so friendly and hospitable; especially, the children coming here have an opportunity to experience such many things as rice planting, vegetable growing, weaving, fishing, etc. to help them understand and appreciate the life more. After this trip, I would definitely recommend to others to visit Hoa Binh Lake and community tourism attractions in Da Bac.

Mr. Dinh Van Sanh, one of the homestay service families in Ke village, Hien Luong commune said: My family is supported to do homestay service, after the implementation time up to now, my family is the popular place to welcome guests visiting the village. Currently, all the homestay households are invested in synchronized blankets, pillows, cushions ... to make visitors feel comfortable and close to home. In the travel itinerary, visitors can enjoy the food service, resting at the stilt houses; kayaking; exchanging art performance and fire camping, etc.

In 2017, there were about 60,500 visitors visiting in the district, including 125 international visitors, 60,375 domestic visitors; the revenue reached at 6,820 million VND. Although the revenue is not high, it has marked the initial development of community tourism model in Da Bac district.
