Ha Giang culture-tourism space opens

According to Nguyen Hong Hai, Director of the Ha Giang provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the cultural – tourism space is a part of the activities under the framework of the sixth National Festival of traditional ‘Then’ singing and the ‘dan tinh’ (gourd lute) of the Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic minority groups 2018.

The cultural – tourism space will take place from May 12 to 14, with the participation of 11 districts, cities and the Ha Giang provincial Tourism Association. Many typical local products and the specific features of Ha Giang, such as mint honey, ancient tea, medicinal herbs, brocade products, and linen of the Mong ethnic group, are on display during the event.

In addition, various tourism programmes on the images of the people and cultural heritage characteristics of Ha Giang are also being introduced at the event.

The event aims to attract investment and expand the markets of the agricultural and pharmaceutical products of Ha Giang to provinces and cities across the country.

Ha Giang province draws tourists with its endless terraced rice fields, buckwheat flower fields and grandiose mountain landscapes.

One of the most beautiful sites in the province is the Dong Van Karst Global Geopark, designated by UNESCO as one of 77 sites with important geological and cultural value. The geopark is littered with ethereal karst formations that are nearly 400 million years old.
