Vietnam has welcome over1.036 million foreign visitors in July, an annual increase of 21.1%, according to the General Statistics Office.


                             Vietnam hosts over 1 million foreign visitors in July

This is the fifth months since the beginning of this year in which the number of foreign tourists to the country has surpassed more than 1 million, apart from May and June.

The country’s tourism sector served approximately 7.24 million international arrivals in the seven-month period, up 28.8% over the same period last year.

Over the same period, the country also hosted 46.9 million domestic visitors, who have contributed to the estimated total revenue of VND 306.7 trillion (US$ 13.46 billion) in the hospitality sector, up 25.7% annually.

In July alone, arrivals by air reached 6.12 million, accounting for 84.4% of the total foreign travellers, while the numbers of cruise passengers and visitors arriving by land accounted for 13.3% and 17.3%, respectively.

The flow of tourists from almost all of the foreign markets witnessed an increase, with China topping the list (up 51%), followed by Russia (49.3%), the Republic of Korea (46.8%), Hong Kong (30.1%), Spain (27.8%), and Cambodia (22.6%).
