(HBO) - In the afternoon of October 27th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperated with the Association of Literature and Arts to organize the summary and the award of the 1st Song Composing Competition for promoting the Tourism Area within Hoa Binh lake in 2020. The leaders from the departments and the appropriate authorities, the authors winning the prizes in the competition attended.
The works "The
endless of the lake area” by Bui Dinh Chien and Nguyen Tien Loi, getting the
second prize, is being performed at the closing and awarding ceremony.
The 1st Song Composing Competition
for promoting the Tourism Area within Hoa Binh lake was held to mobilize the
professional and amateur musicians inside and outside the province to
participate in composing songs to propagate, introduce and promote the people,
the cultural identity, the beautiful natural landscapes, the historical and
cultural relics and the typical tourist products about the tourism area within
Hoa Binh lake.
During the period from May to August
of 2020, the Organizing Committee received 33 works of 25 authors from
provinces and cities, of which 31 out ò the 33 were correct and qualified. In
Hoa Binh province alone there were 18 authors with 26 works participating in
the contest. Most of the songs follow the topic, the set criteria, the melodies
and the lyrics expressing the hearts and the feelings of the musicians for the
people, the land with Hoa Binh lake area. Some songs have blended the melodies,
the rhythms, and the folk songs of the ethnic groups within Hoa Binh lake area,
creating new and impressive compositions to listeners. The typical works
include "The immortality of the dream land”, "The endless of the lake area”,
"The endless of the spiritual areas”...
At the end of the contest, the
Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and
4 consolation prizes to the authors with excellent works. In which, the first
prize belonged to the author Dang Chi Tuyen (Hanoi) with the work "The
immortality of the dream land”.

Until now, Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district remains the only Dao ethnic community in Hoa Binh province to develop a community-based tourism model. Beyond its untouched natural landscapes, cultural identity serves as the cornerstone attraction for visitors.
Alongside the diverse cultural identities of the Kinh, Muong, Tay, Thai, Dao, and Mong ethnic people, Hoa Binh province is also renowned as the "capital" of the northwestern Vietnamese cuisine, offering unique and distinctive dishes. At festivals, during Lunar New Year (Tet), or on significant family or community occasions, special dishes are prepared, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
A Phong Linh (Yellow Tabebuia) flower garden in Thang village, Thach Yen commune, Cao Phong district is currently in full bloom, drawing a large number of visitors.
