Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee
Nguyen Van Toan delivers a speech at the conference.
In the first half of this year, Hoa Binh tourism continued
to make an impressive recovery. The sector concertedly carried out tasks and
solutions to develop new and attractive destinations, tours and products; and
organised a variety of activities to attract the attention of tourists inside
and outside the country, thus creating a premise for tourism to recover and
maintain its activities in the last months of 2023 and the following years. In
the period, the province served a total of 2.36 million visitors, up 28.8% over
the same period, equal to 67.4% of the yearly plan. Total revenue from tourism
services was about 2.3 trillion VND, up 16.2% year-on-year and fulfilling 59%
of the yearly plan.
At the event, delegates discussed, contributed ideas, and
raised some difficulties and obstacles in tourism development.
Vice Chairman Toan requested sectors and localities to focus
on supporting investors and accommodation establishments, especially in
transport infrastructure, and telecommunications; starting work on several
tourism projects and speeding up construction on ongoing ones; strengthening management
over national and provincial relic sites.
He also asked districts and Hoa Binh city to pay attention
to directing communes to supervise and ensure the progress and quality of work
for tourism development within the framework of the three National Target
Programmes; improving the quality of human resources for this industry; and
stepping up investment and tourism promotion activities./.
