(HBO) – On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947-2018), a working delegation led by Tran Dang Ninh, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Su in Muc village, Hop Thanh commune, Ky Son district.

Attending the delegation were leaders of the provincial Party Committee’s Organisation Board and the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs as well as representatives of Ky Son district’s agencies and VNPT Hoa Binh, which volunteered to care for the heroic Vietnamese mother.

Mother Nguyen Thi Su was born in 1918. Her two children are martyrs, namely Nguyen Van Dieu, who was born in 1945, joined the army in 1966 and died in 1968 in the southern battlefield, and Nguyen Quoc Hung, who was born in 1953, joined the army in 1972 and sacrificed his life in 1972 in the southern battlefield.

The delegation presented the gifts of the State President, central and local agencies to the mother. Tran Dang Ninh, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, expressed his deep gratitude for the sacrifices by the heroic martyrs and great contributions by the mother in the cause of national construction and defence. He wished the mother good health and longevity in order to continue to be a spiritual support for her descendants. 

At the same time, the official asked the local Party committee and authorities to continue practical activities to care for the heroic Vietnamese mother in particular and revolutionary contributors in the locality in general./.
