HBO – On the occasion of the lunar New Year (Tet) festival, Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang visited revolutionary veterans and Heroic Mothers in Hoa Binh city on January 28, or the 23rd day of the last lunar month.

In Phuong Lam ward, the delegation paid Tet visits to Le Thi Tam and Dang Huu Tin – two revolutionary veterans who made great contributions to the province’s revolutionary cause during the wartime. At present, both of them are over 96 years old and in good health. On behalf of provincial leaders, Quang wished them good health and hoped that they will continue teaching younger generations on promoting their families’ tradition.

Heroic Mother Dao Thi Dan, born in 1919, has held a ceremony to mark her 100th birth anniversary. On behalf of provincial leaders, Quang congratulated her and presented Tet gifts of the State President and the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to her.

 Visiting Heroic Mothers Dao Thi Dan (Dong Tien ward) and Nguyen Thi Cho (Hoa Binh commune), the Vice Secretary of the local Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee granted Tet gifts of the State President and the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to them. Voicing his profound gratitude towards them, Quang affirmed that the provincial Party Committee and locals always bear in mind great contributions made by the previous generations to the national liberation, including the sacrifice of Heroic Mothers. On the occasion of the Tet festival, he wished the Heroic Mothers and their families a new year of good health, happiness, and prosperity.

 On this occasion, the delegation also paid a Tet visit to the family of Nguyen Trong Tho, late Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ha Son Binh province (in Trung Minh commune). Nguyen Trong Tho (1923-2004) was one of the key leaders of province, who had contributed importantly to the development of Hoa Binh province. Recalling Tho’s great contributions, Quang expressed his belief that his descendants will promote the revolutionary tradition to continue the family’s contributions to the locality./.
