HBO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union – Hoa Binh chapter and the Hoa Binh electricity company on March 30 joined hands to organise an art programme in response to the 2019 Earth Hour, which focused on environmental protection and energy saving, calling on people to switch off electricity devices from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.

During the programme, along with
performances by local schools, the organisers urged local residents, agencies,
units and families to use energy economically. Local authorities, members of
the HCYU – Hoa Binh chapter and people together placed their fingerprints to
show commitments in energy saving and environmental protection, then turned off
the lights.
Earlier the same day, at 3pm, 100 members
of the HCYU participated in a bicycle parade across downtown streets of Hoa
Binh city to promote the 2019 Earth Hour. Those activities aim to raise public
awareness of economical electricity usage towards environmental protection and
climate change response.
