Concluding the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Dung said with high determination to realise the National Target Programme on New Rural Development one year ahead of the schedule in line with the resolution adopted by the provincial Party Congress and the People’s Committee on the back of practical and concerted measures, localities must strengthen directions, pool public involvement and incorporate resources to carry out the programme, and continue raising public awareness of the programme.

In particular, special attention must be paid to production, income improvement and sustainable poverty reduction for residents. For communes already meeting the criteria, they must continue striving to achieve higher standards.
